LLMSW - Clinical Social Worker

Finding the right therapist is an important step in your healing journey and can truly make all the difference. I hope this information has given you a better sense of who I am, what I do, and why I’m passionate and skilled at supporting others. If you feel we might be a good fit, please don’t hesitate to contact us to schedule an appointment.

Why Be a Therapist?

I became a therapist because I’m endlessly interested in people—their stories, struggles, strengths, and what helps them heal. There’s something incredibly powerful about sitting with someone in their hardest moments and helping them make sense of it all. Therapy isn’t about quick fixes; it’s about creating a space where people feel genuinely seen and supported as they figure out what they need. It’s real, often messy, and always meaningful. I do this work because I believe people can change, and I’m honored to be part of that process.

What Kind of Therapist Am I?

I’m the kind of therapist who shows up as a real person—warm, curious, and deeply invested in your well-being. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy; instead, I tailor our work to fit who you are and what you need. I bring a mix of evidence-based tools and down-to-earth conversation, always with a focus on safety, trust, and collaboration. Whether we're unpacking old patterns, navigating current stress, or building toward future goals, my role is to support you—not to fix you. I’m here to help you make sense of things, at your pace, with compassion and honesty. My commitment to fostering a safe, empathetic environment allows me to build strong connections with clients and support them in reaching their full potential. I am conversational in the Spanish language. While I'm not fluent, I do speak Spanish on a daily basis to maintain and strengthen my connections with family, friends, and clients.

I specialize in a range of areas, including (but not limited to) grief and loss, trauma, relationship challenges, family dynamics, life transitions, and everyday struggles such as burnout. I also work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and more. Whether you're facing a major life shift or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to support you. My goal is to provide a safe, collaborative space where you can access the tools, insights, and strategies needed to move forward and reach your personal and relational goals.

Whether you're struggling with mental health challenges, navigating a difficult life transition, or simply seeking personal growth, my evidence-based, client-centered approach can help you develop the tools and confidence needed to thrive. I work with individuals of all backgrounds, ensuring accessible care through both in-person and virtual therapy sessions.

What Makes Me Qualified?

What makes me qualified goes beyond degrees and credentials—though I have those too. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Windsor and completed my Master of Social Work (MSW) at Wayne State University, where I specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy(DBT) and Motivational Interviewing(MI). I’m a licensed therapist in both Ontario and Michigan, with experience supporting individuals across a range of settings and challenges. Just as important is how I show up: with curiosity, cultural awareness, clinical integrity, and a commitment to ongoing learning. I don’t just know the theory—I know how to connect, listen, and help people create real, lasting change.

When I’m Not Working?

When I’m not working, you’ll often find me playing soccer or biking with my kids, or enjoying a quiet early-morning tea or cappuccino on a walk through the park. I love spending time with extended family and friends—celebrating anything that gives us an excuse to come together. I love music and singing karaoke. I probably shouldn’t have shared that! I’m passionate about travel, culture, food, and languages, and I’m endlessly curious about how people live, connect, and find meaning around the world. I love languages, so much that I’ve learned Spanish over the past few years to strengthen connections with my loved ones, friends and clients. Exploring both our differences and shared experiences is something that inspires me, both personally and professionally.
